Daihatsu Charade
My charade is a neat looking small car which is easy to handle, great to drive and has fantastic fuel economy. Yet it is also is a 5 door, with spacious, comfortable seats. It is a car well worth it's price, especially since when it is looked after it does not easily break down. The owner before me had it for 2 years and I have owned it for four. And I still believe it would be worth what the previous owner originally paid for it. It is a good, solid, yet nice looking, quality car that would suit a young single male OR an older mother with 3 children. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a hatchback.

Daihatsu Copen

Daihatsu Copen
These tin top convertibles are great value second hand, with prices falling since Daihatsu departed our shores. You've got all the equipment you need for a two seat roadster - two seats, go-kart handling, and a top that folds down. Frankly, there's not much other equipment anyway!
drives
You sit down low, and hang on for the fun of roundabouts and corners. However, the suspension is that firm you become an eagle eye, looking for any road imperfections to avoid. Speed humps send you out of your seat. It's bone-jarring!
Safety and security
The Copen has some modern safety touches like ABS and airbags, but as always in a small vehicle especially, it's best to avoid a crash in the first place. Security is great for a convertible, with the metal roof overcoming the problems with rag tops.
Information
It's NOT the car for people with more than one companion. It's NOT the car for automatic drivers (manual trans only). It's NOT the car for people who like a comfy cushion ride. It's NOT the car for people with a lot of stuff to lug around. It's NOT the car for people who don't want to draw a crowd (with some laughing and pointing) every time you go out. But it IS the car for adults who want to remember riding go-karts as kids, or who want to feel the wind in their hair (what's left of it). Plus the price and qualities of a Copen might mean your head and your heart can finally agree

Daihatsu Sirion

Daihatsu Sirion
The Daihatsu Sirion Buyer's Guide comprises of the individual specification of four cars.
The fact that Daihatsu is no longer a player in the Australian new-car market, doesn't affect its status on the used-car scene.
Daihatsu prices took a dip when the announcement was first made that the manufacturer was pulling out of Australia, but beyond that, it's been more or less business as usual when it comes to pre-loved Daihatsus.
Much of the reason for the brand's resilience, of course, has been its good reputation as a provider of dependable cars. And why wouldn't they be? With engineering links to Toyota (it is a subsidiary of the company), Daihatsus, particularly latter day models, have been made of stern stuff.
While most car makers gradually increase the size and cylinder count of their engines over the years, Daihatsu has never really been drawn into that. It has stuck with the 1.3-litre four-cylinder and a charismatic 1.0-litre three-cylinder.
Sludge will eventually kill an engine as surely as cholesterol in humans, so any four-cylinder you're considering needs to have a complete service history if it's to earn your consideration.
That said, the four-cylinder does produce more power (75 kW against just 40 kW for the three-cylinder), so if performance is important, the bigger engine is worth the trouble. Then again, if performance is your thing, may we humbly suggest a Sirion is probably not for you in the first place.
If your second-hand Sirion absolutely must be automatic, we'd recommend the four-cylinder version.
Regardless of its name, the model retained the Sirion's fairly ponderous handling and lifeless feel.
And while it was quicker than the three-cylinder, it still wasn't what you'd call fast in isolation.
Our pick would be a manual-gearbox three-cylinder version, purely because it's the cheapest. And when it comes to second-hand micro-cars, that counts for an awful lot.

Daihatsu Terios

Daihatsu Terios
The Daihatsu Terios Buyer's Guide comprises of the individual specification of three cars. The data includes car prices, car photographs & images, reviews and car insurance groups
The car is reasonable. Uses a lot of petrol for a small car. But has been mechanically reliable. Its very cute and stylish and suits female's more than males. Overall performance is ok, takes a while to pick up speed etc. If I was to buy a newer model I would only get a manual, wouldnt go with an auto again as its only has 4 gears so its pretty slow and sometimes slugish if you have too many people in the car.
